Provincial Mass for Vocations, Worth Abbey, 24 July 2016

Worth Parish very kindly consented to dedicate the 9.30 a.m. parish mass today to be offered for Vocations to the Priesthood, Diaconate and the Religious Life at the request of the Provincial Council of the Catenian Association in Sussex.

The Association is acutely aware, as are many ordinary Catholics, of the very serious shortage of vocations today and it is imperative that we do all we can to assist. The Association Circles do this through regular prayer at our meetings, by the offering of a mass sponsored by a Circle somewhere in the world each day of the year and through fundraising to asist in training at our colleges and seminaries. Last year we raised £7,500 for diocesan and national funds.

We earnestly ask for your continuing prayers and support for Vocations, that God will ever increase His harvest and that our Catholic Christian communities will continue to be able to call on a parish priest of their own in the future - something which has been being eroded steadily in recent times.

A major attraction was a book of photos from this blog

A bit short on the donations?
Anyone up for a best caption competition?
